Subject: Followup on Recent Incidents
Date Sent: September 30, 2011

As a result of the most recent burglary on Broxburn Drive on Wednesday, I contacted the county police liason for our area, Denise Gill, and requested an increased police patrol presence in our neighborhood.  Officer Gill supported our request, and neighbors reported seeing police patrol cars yesterday.

Officer Gill advises that the police continue to work leads on individuals coming out of SE, DC that are committing some of the crime in our area.  They have made arrests and have recovered several stolen vehicles there. However, they are still investigating the recent incidents in our neighborhood.

A broad daylight home break in is very troubling. Remove items from vehicles and lock the doors.  Keep your homes locked and alarms on as appropriate, especially in the evening and when you are away from home.  Please reportl suspicious activity to the police non-emergency number, 301 279-8000

On a happier note, please mark your calendar for our fall festival onSunday, October 6 from 4-6 pm.  It should be a great event.  It will include a reprise of last fall's popular dog show and other activities.  More details to follow.
