Subject: BCA Meeting and Events
Date Sent: August 26, 2014

Hello.  I hope you are enjoying the great summer weather. I have several announcements to make.

September 11 meeting: Please join us at our next Bannockburn Citizens Association meeting next Thursday, September 11 at 7:30 PM at St. Marks.

As always, the meeting will be an opportunity to visit with your neighbors, discuss BCA activities, and pass along news and comments. We would particularly like to welcome new neighbors.

New Magazine. BCA has teamed up with N2 Publications to form a new relationship that will include a monthly magazine and various community events.  The goal of this venture is to improve our communications and opportunities for neighbors to meet and interact.  The new monthly magazine will replace our bi-annual newsletter, and will have numerous features about our neighbors and community so we can be better informed of events and news.  We will also have  more frequent neighborhood events, scheduled in between our quarterly general meetings and spring and fall festivals.  The BCA Board will be working with Timothy Beam and Amanda Frasure at N2 Publications, who will discuss the new magazine at our September 11 meeting.  We are excited about this new relationship.

Events:  As part of this new neighborhood outreach in conjunction with N2, we have planned the following two events, free of charge:

September 18th, 6:30pm at Maggiano's
5333 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20015

October 2nd, 6 pm at Markhams
7141 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814

Maggiano's will be a family style dinner.  Markhams will be Happy Hour themed with hors d’oerves.  The food is free, but guests are responsible for their drinks and tip.

If you wish to attend these events please RSVP to me, Timothy Beam and Amanda Frasure.

Best wishes,
Ted Garrett,
BCA President
