Subject: Looking forward to our June 4 BCA Meeting
Date Sent: May 31, 2015

This is a reminder to please join us at our next Bannockburn Citizens Association meeting on Thursday, June 4 at 7:30 PM at St. Mark.

The featured speaker will be our neighbor Bill Eichbaum, who has had a distinguished career as an environmentalist. In the 1970s, he helped organize the first Earth Day. In the 1980s, he played a key role in the creation of the Chesapeake Bay Program. Over the past 25 years Bill has held a variety of senior positions at the World Wildlife Fund, where he has worked to conserve critically endangered habitats around the world, curb destructive fishing and forestry practices, and reduce atmospheric carbon. He is currently focused on protection of the Arctic. At our meeting, Bill will discuss conservation work in the US and around the world as well as the work of The Potomac Conservancy, the Board of which he chairs.

We very much look forward to hearing Bill share some of his experiences. This is an event not to be missed!

As always, the meeting will be an opportunity to visit with your neighbors, discuss BCA activities, hear reports from our Committees, and pass along news and comments. We would particularly like to welcome new neighbors.

I look forward to seeing you on Thursday..

Best Wishes,
Ted Garrett,
BCA President
