at St Mark's
Please attend our next Bannockburn Citizens Association meeting on Thursday, March 5 at 7:30 pm at St. Mark’s (see directions below). As usual, the meeting will be an opportunity to visit with your neighbors and discuss BCA activities.
The County’s Quiet Skies Coalition collaborates with other noise activists around the country on legislative and judicial efforts to reduce airport noise and pollution. Our Montgomery County issues are part of a bigger problem and a nationwide effort. At our meeting Ann Hollander, our representative on the County coalition, will report on recent developments and future activities.
Our neighbor and good friend Karen Lesser's amazing son Ben is battling an aggressive form of cancer. Ben is fighting it with all his strength but he needs help. Ben has many friends who are registering with Be the Match as potential bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell donors (PBSC). But he needs more people to register. PLEASE take a minute to register to be a potential bone marrow match. It’s simple to do. Ben’s medical team will see if you may be a match for him. Be the Match may contact you for further screening for a bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) match for someone in need. People with a background similar to Ben's ethnic background, which is part Filipino and part European, and aged 18-44, are thought to be especially good matches, but an individual of any ethnicity could be a match. You must be at least 18 years old to register.
Your registration could save Ben or another person’s life. Please click this link to register: https://join.bethematch.org/diversematch. If you have any questions regarding this drive, please contact EliseYousoufian@gmail.com
I look forward to seeing you on March 5. Best wishes,
