Date Sent: July 20, 2020

Dear Neighbor:

This is a follow up to our Bannockburn Citizens Association meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was held via Zoom video. If you had problems joining the meeting, let me know.

We elected Matt Koll to the BCA Board of Directors. Matt will continue serving as our Website Committee Chair.

We had reports from the following: Matt Koll, Website Committee; Karen Lesser, Treasurer, Mark Pollak, Covenants Committee; Gala Voyt, Welcome Committee; and John Hannula, Neighborhood Security Committee. Please feel free to contact them if you have questions or wish to get involved.

Our neighbor Pam Fessler, an award-winning correspondent with NPR News, discussed her new book, “Carville's Cure, Leprosy, Stigma, and the Fight for Justice.” Her remarks were captivating and sparked questions. You can learn more about the book on the publisher’s site: https://wwnorton.com/books/9781631495038.

Montgomery County offers testing to residents who think they may have been exposed to Covid-19, or who need testing to meet work requirements. Testing is free but an appointment is needed. For information on how to get tested for Covid-19 see the following link: https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/covid19/testing.html.

Best Wishes,
Ted Garrett,
BCA President
